Nurturing Community and Collaboration

A huge part of collaborating with people is practicing social justice. Every person regardless of ability, gender, sexual orientation, race, age, and body size deserves a seat at the table. By that, I mean that in order to hear the most interesting input, one often times needs to look to a minority group for their input. This inclusion is a huge part of what I do at Keene State College, and I have had the opportunity to be involved with the Office of Multicultural Student Support and Success and Common Ground to help make our campus community more inclusive of POC, LGBTQA+, and differently abled people!


The political is personal, and the more I get involved in ways that speak to my values, the more i thrive as a Biologist.


There should be more women and women of color in science, and there are so many initiatives now that help promote female representation and equal opp
